Why Aren't You Achieving Your Dream Body


Those people you see in the magazines (or Instagram, to be more current) aren't born with good-looking six packs and lifted butts. It could just be one of the two things:

1) either it's photoshopped, or
2) it's hard work.

It could be both, but I don't see the need why people with the perfect physique would still depend on those apps or softwares that are fooling other people.

Anyway, we have always wanted to be like them, no? Maybe not just because it's the "socially-acceptable" look, but also it's the "healthy " look, right? But even when we try, why aren't we achieving the dream body like them? If you're the former, then the answer is because you're no pro at Photoshop. But if you're the latter (like me), it's because you aren't effective with whatever lifestyle you have right now.  Here are some reasons why you aren't achieving your dream body.

1. You're not eating right
I can't stress this enough with you guys-- but exercise and proper diet come hand in hand! Your 5-hour workout will be wasted if you don't have proper nutrition anyway. So do your research and have a proper diet!

2. You're not doing any cardio
Don't overlook the power or brisk walking, running, or whatever cardio exercise you're not doing. It is, in fact, good for the heart and metabolism.

3. You're not doing weight training
Okay, so you eat right and do cardio but not weight training? *BUUUZZZZ* Uh oh, of course, you shouldn't forget the squats, dips, deadlifts, and what not. Training will definitely build muscles and alter your body composition.

4. You forget to take a rest
So you eat right, do cardio and weight training every day but only sleep for 3 hours a night? Or maybe you dive into a new workout day after day? *BUUUZZZ* Very wrong! Your body needs healing and resting after a long day (or 1 hour) of hard work at the gym! Help your muscles recover faster by using TENS and EMS units. You're welcome.

Go Ahead & Achieve Your Dream Body
If you're like me, who was very frustrated why wasn't my body changing the way I want it to be, just be patient. Only miracles happen overnight (or maybe not even).  If everything else fails, just try to re-evaluate how you're doing it and maybe next time, you'll get it right. Hopefully, you can now achieve your dream body with the help of proper diet, exercise, and muscle recovery techniques.
